Chipotle Sour Cream

April 2009
by Eddie Sell
Chipotle Sour Cream is a quick and easy way to enhance plain ol' sour cream to use as a dip for veggies or chips, or atop meals such as tacos, burritos, taquitos, tortas, or enchiladas.

It also pairs very well with Eddie's Firehouse Frittata, and his Chipotle Guacamole, fresh salsa and fresh fruit

Serves: 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1-2 Chipotle peppers (canned, in Adobo sauce), roughly chopped (add 2 peppers if you like it really spicy!)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon chives or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until all ingredients are well incorporated and smooth.
  2. Place in a bowl and garnish with chopped chives or chopped cilantro.
